The interior on this boat was completely rebuilt from the floor up about 1 1/2 years ago. It runs great and sounds AWESOME! I bought it a little over a year ago and have never been able to use it like I had planned. Long story. Divorce and all that. In fact, I’ve only used it once for about 30 minutes. It’s been parked ever since.

This is a wonderful boat for spending the afternoon out on the water. Has plenty of room for two (or more) and can stow plenty of stuff for having fun on the water. We are moving and probably won’t have proper storage for it (we’ve always kept it garaged) where we’re moving to.

Here is my 17 ft 1989 Markell with a super nice 90HP Johnson outboard motor, Galvanized EZ Loader trailer, builge pump, extra prop, 2 anchors, boat dolly for dry storage, two gas tanks (one nearly new), fresh water flush kit, life jackets, kicker motor gas tank, kicker motor cart (kicker motor was stolen), spring loaded heavy duty kicker motor bracket (not mounted on the boat yet), depth finder, oar, hook to catch the dock, and many other extras. This is a perfect puget sound salmon fishing machine. It is not a cheap Bayliner or Olympic boat. Those boats have a very thing fiberglass shell, so thin in fact that on a sunny day you can see the sunlight through it. If you are looking for a boat load of problems this is NOT for you! This boat is solid and sea worthy. Suitable for the Puget Sound or the Ocean if you like to fish out there in the big water. I have owned this boat for about 5 years and it has always been in dry storage at the PT. Defiance Boathouse. In all these years I have used it a couple dozen times. Shameful but true. I simply have not had time nor have I made time to use this. It pains me to sell it but I just can’t justify keeping it anymore. The rent at the boathouse is now $73 a month and that cost alone for not using it is just silly. The dolly has super heavy duty wheels that cost in the neighborhood of $110 EACH. This is another silly thing but true. I am taking a loss on this at this price but that’s life. I would rather let this go to someone that can use it.
The pictures are of the boat as it sits tonight as I type this. As time permits we will get it all nicely washed and waxed. it has just been collecting dust sitting in the boathouse. It cleans up very nicely. The paint is in excellent condition, interior decent, all mechanics are in perfect working order. The lower unit was rebuilt a little while before i purchased it. It will go about 50 in the water, very stable ride. The deep V hull is actually made from a Glasspar mold. While fishing you do not get banged all around nor do you worry that the kids will fall out. The widest part of the boat is 7 ft. It is much bigger in person and you can tell right away this is a real boat, not some run of the mill cheap imitation they make today.
It’s also plenty powerful to pull a skier or maybe even 2 at once. This is a great family boat in very nice condition for it’s age. I was super excited when I got it and sad to see it go.
I cannot get it out of the water and on the trailer. I do not own a vehicle with a hitch that is powerful to pull it home. We can meet at the boathouse if you would like to see it I would rather not take it for a ride unless you are serious about buying it. The motor has to be flushed after using it and that takes time and effort, plus it is not currently licensed. However, we can wheel it out and fire up the motor easily enough in the fresh water tank on the dock. You could keep it in the boathouse which is very handy. Just wheel it over to the elevator, get it off the dolly, down it goes into the water and you are off. No waiting for the boat launch ths summer!
