Get Ready For Some Thrilling Sailing!
I am reluctantly selling this fantastic 1983 Hobie 16 sailboat.
It really is a lot of fun to sail.
You can enjoy the thrill of hanging out on the trapeze (this includes 2 trapeze cables and seat harnesses) while flying down the lake a top speeds.
It has been lots of fun , but my main sailing buddy, my Father in Law, is now at the point where he is too stiff to have fun on this.
So we are selling this and looking to replace it with a more user-friendly day sailor type boat so he can enjoy more years of sailing.
You can take advantage of my situation and get this great boat.
Includes mast head float- a must for those who like sailing on the edge.
Also some extra hardware including complete replacement shroud set.
The sails and mast are garage kept. I dont have sail photos yet as I dont want to get them muddy laying them out for pictures- waiting for the next dry day.
They are white, orange, red and yellow.
Sails are in very good condition, as well as the tramp.
Hulls are solid with no soft spots.
I have the jib sheet rigged so it is a continuous loop making it much more manageable.
Of course the boat and trailer are titled and registered.
Trailer is tilt kind. I seem to recall that one of the lights was acting up when I last used it but will look into that.
At one time I had two of these. Before I sold the other one, I took the best parts from it and put them on this one.
Also selling a lift separately. I would lower the price for it if the boat purchaser also wanted it.
